We are proudly home to the Acoustic Maritime Music Festival, a four day event, held annually on the third weekend in July. This one of a kind festival specifically showcases an eclectic variety of world class Canadian original singer/songwriters. There is a key focus on Maritime talent as acoustically as a festival can possibly be.

The campground spans a scenic 20-acre site with beautiful views of the Minas Basin and Avon River mouth. Camping at Kempt Shore offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and community spirit. Kempt Quarry

Steps from Kempt Shore Ocean View Campground, Kempt Quarry is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful retreat for visitors looking to relax and connect with nature. Kempt Quarry’s calm waters provide a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all ages, with shallow areas perfect for children and deeper sections for more adventurous swimmers. The calm waters make it ideal for canoeing and kayaking, allowing visitors to glide through the quarry’s serene environment. Its grassy banks provide a picturesque setting for picnics, where families and friends can relax and enjoy the view. Shaded picnic spots are scattered throughout, allowing families, couples, and friends to gather for a meal in the serene surroundings while soaking in the fresh coastal air.

Burntcoat Head Park

Recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of North America and a finalist for the Seven Wonders of the World, Burntcoat Head Park showcases the awe-inspiring beauty of Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy. Famous for the highest recorded tides in the world, this extraordinary park offers a rare opportunity to walk on the ocean floor during low tide, where the landscape transforms into an expanse of rocky shores and sweeping mudflats shaped by nature’s force. 

Visitors can witness the incredible tidal shifts—over 50 feet in mere hours—while exploring scenic walking trails and viewpoints that offer panoramic vistas of the Bay of Fundy. The Walton Lighthouse

A little less than half-an-hour drive away from the campground, the historic town invites visitors with its captivating charm and rich heritage. Known as the birthplace of hockey, Windsor is a special destination for sports fans, with landmarks like the Hockey Heritage Museum offering fascinating exhibits that trace the sport’s evolution from its humble beginnings to its global fame. 

Windsor’s historic charm extends beyond hockey, featuring beautifully preserved 18th- and 19th-century architecture.
